"Celebrating Our Everyday Heroes"

IMG_7958_edited.jpg

When choosing a theme for this year's event, we took into consideration that the event date in 2021 happened to fall on September 11, a date that all of us remember and few will ever forget. Beyond that, we find ourselves coming out of a global pandemic that disrupted nearly every aspect of our lives for so long that we found it fitting to celebrate those who helped us through some of the toughest times in recent memory, our everyday heroes.

Whether you're military service member, a medical provider, a firefighter, a teacher, a public servant, or serving in any of the many important professions who work so hard to care for us and keep us safe, we THANK YOU!

Come and join us on Saturday, September 11 as we shine a light on our everyday heroes while celebrating Floyd County's rich agricultural heritage! It's fun for the entire family and we hope to see you there!

We're excited to introduce the winner of this year's annual Miss Floyd County Fair pageant as Carroll County native,  Meriden Roberts!

Meriden is currently studying Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise at Virginia Tech. In addition to being an accomplished dancer, cheerleader and community volunteer, her scholastic achievements have been very impressive. We'd like to sincerely thank Meriden for her hard work in the community and we look forward to her representing the Floyd County Fair in the coming year.
